| This painting depicts the holistic sacredness that is the gift of life. The orange/red sun represents the self's dual nature and the ability to heal the whole self. Healing is possible through an individual's search and practice through prayer/offering to the spirit world's “helpers” or “healers” who bring teachings in exchange for physical sacrifice. In this image the bears are bringing nurturing to the figure within the lodge. The bears' bodies are decorated with teachings that will be gifted to the individual inside the lodge. |
